Programming

Full-day, full-year services

Educare New Orleans is open 12 months a year, Monday through Friday:

  • Class Hours: 8:30 am – 2:45 pm
  • Before Care: 7:45 am – 8:30 am
  • After Care: 2:45 pm – 5:45 pm

**After hour rates do apply

Small class sizes for individual attention

  • Infant toddler rooms: 3 teachers : 8 children
  • Preschool rooms: 3 teachers : 17 children

Research-based teaching strategies for best results

  • Educare New Orleans works with a research team from Tulane University to collect data that strengthens our program.
  • Parents receive ongoing communication about their child’s progress.

High minimum staff qualifications

  • Master Teachers & Family Support Manager: Master’s degrees
  • Lead Teachers & Family Advocate Specialists: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Assistant Teachers: Associates degree or higher
  • Teacher Aides: Childcare Certifications, and/or CDA

On-site family support

  • Family support staff is available to families during all program hours and receive training on strategies to engage and support parents throughout their child’s enrollment.
  • Family support staff have small caseloads to provide the highest quality of services to families.
  • Families learn how to support their children’s education and development.
  • The community is offered educational opportunities and school events throughout the year.

In-class best practices and supports

  • Children remain with the same teaching team from entry until transition to preschool.
  • Children are able to work in small groups with a primary caregiver teacher to support individualized instruction and relationship-based work.
  • STEM embedded into coursework
  • Frog Street Press– Research/Evidence Based Curriculum
  • Master Teachers provide support and assist the classroom teachers with implementing individualized learning and best practices
  • Social, emotional and educational skills are taught so that children can enter elementary school on the same level as children from higher income families.
