History

Educare New Orleans is a high-quality, NAEYC-accredited, birth-to-five school, and a program of Clover New Orleans—a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to educating children, strengthening families, and building community since 1896.

Established in 2013 in partnership with the Bayou District Foundation, Educare New Orleans was the first Educare School in the Deep South, serving as a cornerstone of the Columbia Parc at the Bayou District mixed income public housing redevelopment in the Gentilly neighborhood following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Today, Educare New Orleans is one of 25 birth-to-five schools in the national Educare Learning Network—all of which champion equity and opportunity in early education for children in historically divested communities.

Through our Gulf Coast Teacher Training Academy (GCTTA), we have equipped dozens of early childhood educators in the Greater New Orleans area and Gulf South region with the tools they need to provide transformative learning experiences for the youngest learners.
